Application

Ipochlor is generally used for removing soot stain deposits from zinc and epoxy coated tanks. It is also very effective for bleaching of stains caused by the carriage of dyed gasoline cargoes.

Directions of use

Tankcleaning:
After the normal cleaning depending on the nature of the last cargo and subsequent rinsing with water, the cleaning with Ipochlor can start.

Ipochlor is used in a 1-3% solution in fresh or seawater. Circulate at ambient temperatures for 2 – 4 hours. One solution usually is sufficient to clean 3-4 tanks. After this cleaning rinse thoroughly with a sufficient amount of fresh water

Dosage between 1 – 3% solution on zinc and epoxy coatings.

Disinfection:
Recirculate appx. 10 % by volume of Ipochlor in order to eliminate any bacteria in the ballast tanks.
